Hej på er alla! Det gick några dagar igen innan jag hann "ta pennan i handen" och klottra något hit på bloggen. På måndagen efter lektionerna åkte vi med taxi till Sangertown Square Mall för att shoppa i några timmar. Dessa några timmar drogs ut till ca 5-6 timmar istället. Det tar så länge att komma någonstans härifrån och tillbaka, så mycket av tiden väntar man bara på taxin. Jag hittade lite kiva saker, men mest handlade jag nog anteckningsböcker, pennor osv. som man behöver i skolan. Var så trött efter dagen att sängen kallade ganska tidigt. Tisdagen började med att jag fick en födelsedagspresent av Anna-Marie, en underbar bodylotion från Victoria's Secret. Efter det gick vi tennis, och hade sen en kurs i masskommunikation och senare på kvällen en (3 timmar lång!!) lektion i PR kampanjer. Vi slutade 9.20 PM med Anna-Marie och gick till the dorms för att planera vad vi skulle göra på kvällen och var vi skulle vara. När jag kommer in i min "suite" (en slags liten "lägenhet" med flera sovrum och två toan) så hoppar Damir, Anne och Gabriella fram och skriker "Happy Birthday!". Så glad jag blev! Var ju inte alls förberedd på något sånt! Haha. De hade dekorerat min dörr med fina lappar och ballonger. Fick också några små presenter av min andra roomie next door och alla gjorde mig bara så glad. Vi bestämde oss för att vara i mitt rum då det är ganska stort och för att slippa störa de andra i suiten så mycket. Vi fick sällskap av några amerikanska hockeyguys också och så var det full rulle på gång med drickaspel. De är ganska trevliga förresten, liknar mycket mera nordbor till beteendet och var bara roliga typer. Lite senare gick de och några andra, men sen joinade några av våra exchangiekillar istället och så försökte vi spela lite till, men det fungera sisådär. Well, jag hade en superfödelsedag och den skulle nog inte ha varit lika rolig utan allas gratulationer, överraskningen och den lilla festen, så tack alla! ♥
Igår hade vi volleyboll på morgonen och sen en lektion. Efter det försökte jag studera, men det fungera inte alls p.g.a. att jag var så trött. Så jag la mig ner istället och tog en nap. Försökte igen efter det, men det fungera inte något bättre då jag satt i timmar och försökte hitta källor till en analys. Jag fick den gjord till slut, men orkade ju inte läsa mera efter det så jag gav upp för kvällen. Det sluta med att vi var i mitt rum igen och spelade drickaspel med hockeykillarna och bara hade roligt. Efteråt åkte vi ner till Taco Bell, men det var inte öppet (vilken tragedi!) så vi nöjde oss med Subway på bensinstationen på andra sidan gatan typ. Snart ska jag fixa mig klar för tennis och dagens enda föreläsning efter det. Ikväll funderar vi på att fara ut ut igen då det är sista Saranac Thursday idag. Det är liksom ett torg utomhus där de har band och billig öl vid Uticas beer brewery. Vi hade så kul förre veckan så det skulle nog vara kul! Får se hur långt jag kommer med studerandet idag dock. Nu måste jag gå så ha det så bra!
EN: Hey y'all! It took some day to "grab the pen" and write something here again. On Monday after our classes we headed to Sangertown Square Mall with a cab with Anna-Marie and Damir to shop for a couple of hours. These couple of hours became 5-6 hours instead. It takes so much time to go anywhere from here and come back since a lot of the time we just wait for cabs. I found some nice stuff, but mostly I just bought stuff for school like notebooks and pens and so on. I was so tired after the day that I fell asleep pretty early. Tuesday began with Anna-Marie giving me a birthday gift, which was a wonderful bodylotion from Victoria's Secret. I love it! After that we went to tennis and some other classes after that. We had a three hour long evening class that lasted until 9.20 PM and after that we went to the dorms to decide what to do and where we would be to celebrate a bit. When I came into my "suite" (a small apartment like thing with several bedrooms and two toilets) Anne, Damir and Gabriella jumped out and shouted "Happy Birthday"!. I wasn't at all prepared on this and it was so nice of them. They had decorated my room door with small cute notes and balloons. I also got some small gifts from my roomie next door and everyone just made me so happy. We decided to be in my room since it's pretty big and so that we wouldn't disturb the other people living in the same suite that much. We got company from some of the American hockeyguys living on our floor and then we had a full drinking game going on. Later on when they and some of the others left, two of our exchangie boys joined us and we tried to play again, but it didn't work out that well. Well I had a wonderful birthday and it wouldn't have been the same without the congratulations, gifts, surprise and the little party we had, so thank you all! ♥
Yesterday we started the day off with volleyball and then a class in PR. After that I tried to study, but I was so tired so I took a nap instead. I tried again afterwards, but it really took me hours to find articles and a topic to write about for an analysis due today. As the evening progressed we were again in my room and played a drinking game with the hockeyguys and just had fun. We drove to Taco Bell, which was closed (what a tradegy!), and went to the Subway in the gas station just on the other side of the road instead. Now I better get ready for tennis and another class after that. We're thinking about going out out tonight since it's the last Saranac Thursday today, like an outside concert thing with cheap beer outside the Utica Brewery. We had so much fun last week so it would really be pretty fun, but I have to see how much I get done before going. Now I need to go so have a nice day!
