10 Things I Learned About Vegas in 2,5 Days

Even though I spent only 2,5 days in Vegas I had plenty of time to notice a couple of things. There probably is more, but here are my "rookie" observations.

1. Everything is expensive. I bought an orange juice that cost me $6. So, in short: do not go to Vegas if you're not prepared to spend money. Somehow the city lures you into doing that.

2. They will ask you for your ID anywhere and anytime you use your card to pay even the smallest of sums. So keep that with you at all times!

3. You pretty much have to pay for Wi-Fi at the hotels too; even after paying resort fees, taxes and some other "hidden costs". Nothing is for free..

4. There's always a party going on and you can see drunk people any time of the day.

5. The Strip looks like any other big city with high buildings during the day, but at night it almost seems magical with all the lights.

6. That said 2,5-3 days is enough before you get caught up in the madness.

7. You will meet the most random and most amazing people if you're up for it.

8. More people than I thought travel to Vegas alone just for fun.

9. The casinos/hotels are bigger than malls and have everything you can imagine inside them. You don't even need to leave your hotel if you don't feel like it.

10. "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" was not coined in vain. Some stories might be better left untold when getting back to the real world. But then again, why not share the fun and crazy stories with your friends?

Oh and as a tip! If you want to go on a show, which usually are pretty expensive, buy your ticket for about half the price from Tix4Tonight. You can find their stands in a couple of places on the strip and also in the Showcase Mall (plus online).
