Greetings from Poland!

Hello all! So I'm in Poland right now on a mini-vacation with my lovely Irish friend Aoife. Very random, but very much fun! We flew to Warszaw on Wednesday and didn't actually do that much that day, nothing worth mentioning at least. The same night at 5.30 AM we took a train to Krakow and arrived here about 9 AM. We booked us on a tour to Auschwitz and found our way to the hostel we're staying at. In Warszaw we stayed in a 4 star Radisson Blu hotel and now in a hostel in a 12 person dorm room, even though we're alone in it. I actually feel more at home here :D Well, we took the tour to Auschwitz and Auschwitz-Birkenau and it lasted for 6-7 hours. More about the tour in another post. We came back to the hostel after that and got ourselves ready for dinner. We found a very cute restaurant called Horoscope and their food was just amazing! We got a two course dinner, cocktails and a bottle of sparkling wine for about 25€ each. To eat out here is very cheap (compared to Finland), because today we had a three course dinner with a couple of cocktails and so on for about 20€ each. Well enough about food. After dinner we found our way, or more correctly lost ou way, to the old Jewish quarters and found a cute bar where we took a drink. We were both so tired that we finally decided to go home and go to sleep.

Today we joined a Free Walking Tour to the Jewish quarters and to the Oskar Schindler's Factory. Our guides name was Tom and he was a very good guide! Basically the tour is free, but you can decide to give tips at the end of the tour if you like. It was very informative and interesting! The Schindler's Factory is basically just a museum with images and some reconstructed things so not the factory in itself, but very nice anyway. I loved the movie Schindler's List by Steven Spielberg so that's why I wanted to see the place. Only thing I still would want to see is the salt mine in Wieliczka, which is supposed to be very beautiful, but unfortunately we won't have time for it since we're heading back to Warszaw tomorrow morning. So another time then! Krakow is such a lovely place so I would definitely come back here sometime.

Well this was supposed to be a short update, so off I go. Laters!

Aoife is loving the toilet and shower.
